Pulaski’s Parapets after the Capture. The photographic history of the Civil War. Review of Reviews Co. in New York, 1911.
Join us on a wonderful program highlighting three unique and important sites—the capture of the deep water port of Port Royal on November 7, 1861; the reduction of the masonry Fort Pulaski outside of Savannah and the unsuccessful federal attack at Secessionville on James Island just south of Charleston in July 1862. Each day features a new historian and a cluster of sites related to the central theme for the day—in the process you will visit, Hilton Head Island and Beaufort; Savannah and Tybee Island and Secession Row en route to James Island.
