Operation Overlord and D-Day 66th Anniversary Tour

BGES’ World War II Series

Operation Overlord and D-Day 66th Anniversary Tour, July 2-6, 2010

A BGES Code Share Program with Old Country Military & History Tours

If Gettysburg is the Civil War battlefield by which all others are judged in the Civil War, then the D-Day Landings at Normandy in execution of Operation Overlord hold the same stature in World War II.  Indeed any touring of WW II should start with Normandy and if one has time to do but one WW II battlefield it should be the June 6, 1944 landings.

BGES is pleased to offer a tour that focuses specifically on the D-Day Landings and Operation Overlord which was the plan for this military milestone.  Using our partners, Old Country Military & History Tours Inc,owned by BGES’ own Peter Gasgoyne-Lockwood (a retired British Army officer).  We make it possible for you to make this trip either in isolation or perhaps in conjunction with a program being held earlier in the week that studies Dunkirk.

This program with its inclusive rate for your hotel permits you to enjoy the culture during your free time, unencumbered by vendors or set meal times.  Expect many of your fellow delegates to be English which should make for an excellent interaction.

Registrants will be provided detailed contact information prior to the event and we will work with you to make certain that you are set before you go over there.  If registrations through BGES justifies the expense, we will provide a member on the tour; however, rest assured we have done all we can to minimize the overhead and other costs to make it possible for you to study this important event of WW II. Click here for more detailed registration information and a registration form.
