June 25-28, 2010 Drama at Dunkirk, Join historian Paul Etteridge as he leads you to one of the British Army's most important and heroic stands as they grudgingly yield to the German Blitzkrieg. Departing from London to Paris via the Eurostar and then follow the British Expeditionary Forces attack on the German armored divisions and the fighting withdrawal all the way to and including the massacre at Wormhout and the extraction from Dunkirk. A wonderful 3 and 1/2 day tour.

August 18-21, 2010BGES’ Revolutionary War in Detail:  Greene’s Gambit from Cowpens to Guilford Courthouse Join us on a memorable chase where the pursuer became the pursued as General Nathaniel Greene first beat Cornwallis at Cowpens, then evaded him to the Dan River in Virginia and then came back to thrash him at Guilford Courthouse in a stinging campaign that led Cornwallis to quit North Carolina and set sail for his destiny in Virginia.  Led by Bert Dunkerly (read his article on this campaign). From Gaffney, South Carolina.

August 27 - September 12, 2010:  The American Civil War in Europe.  If you ever wanted an excuse to go to England this is it.  Join Director Len Riedel and a cast of historians in Europe and from America as we follow the pivotal role played by England and France in the Civil War.  This trip ranges from Glasgow, Scotland, to Liverpool, London, Sandhurst, Portsmouth and Cherbourg, France.  Includes a two day symposium at Sandhurst with American and British scholars.  Call to be added to the list for info.

October 19-23, 2010: Corinth 1862, The Forgotten Campaign Parker Hills and Len Riedel have developed relationships and a tour that is in a different category from any other pretenders.  Carefully sequencing the battles of Iuka, Corinth and Davis Bridge we will take you on roads walked by no others and into fields closed to everyone else on a memorable look at a lost opportunity for the Confederacy.  From Corinth, Mississippi.  Because of access issues restricted to two vans only.

November 3-6, 2010:  Wounded, Weakened and Dangerous: The Army of Northern Virginia in the Fall of 1863 Defeated at Gettysburg and stripped of its I Corps which was now in Tennessee, Robert E. Lee remained inactive until the Army of the Potomac responded in kind by sending the XI and XII Corps to Chattanooga. Lee once again assumed the offensive, moving to Bristoe Station where Jackson had wreaked havoc one year earlier. But Lee no longer had Jackson, and A.P. Hill's performance at Bristoe left much to be desired. Though the subsequent Federal offensive at Rappahannock Station forced Lee to retreat, he settled down into nearly impregnable fortifications and dared the Federals to attack him at Mine Run. Historian Greg Mertz brings this program alive on ground generally not visited by the public. Because of access issues restricted to two vans only. From Culpeper, Virginia.

November 10-13, 2010:  The Charleston Conference   Here in the hotbed of secession join us for a two day symposium and one day tour which examines the second part of the election of 1860 and its practical manifestations in the place where the first ordinance of secession was drafted, a document which you will see.  Then take a detailed look at the face of secession as we travel the South Carolina Low Country with Stephen Wise and other regional experts on a one day tour south of Charleston.  From Charleston, SC.

November 17-20, 2010: Grant’s Road to Destiny, Part 4:  The Vicksburg Campaign: Grant Crosses the River, Louisiana, Grand Gulf and Port Gibson Parker Hills and Len Riedel will take two lucky vans down roads and along levees to show the way that Grant distracted and then ultimately passed Pemberton and his defenses to cross the Mississippi.  You will go to a part of Grierson’s Raid at Brookhaven and see sites that are never and I mean never covered on tour—a highlight will be the actual crossing site at Bruinsburg Landing on private land.  From Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Join historians Eric Jacobson, Parker Hills and Len Riedel as we complete this three year study of Hood’s decisive campaign and do a hard post mortem of the planning and execution.  Was it a missed opportunity or a misguided effort to accomplish what couldn’t be done?  A hard analysis, open discussion and differing opinions.  From Nashville, Tennessee.  Limited to three vans due to access considerations.
