BGES Fundraiser for Pamplin Park Cannon Refurbishment

The 12-pound Napoleon Firing

BGES agreed to provide nearly $6,000 in cost share to purchase an all weather cannon carriage to replace a weathered wooden one for the twelve pounder Napoleon we help purchase more than 10 years ago.

Armed with a challenge grant of $3,000 in matching money, BGES members and Friends on Facebook produced over $4,000 in two days. We intended to use the overage to seed the transfer and refurbishment of the carriage with follow on fundraising planned as we repurposed the Gun carriage. We were told the check was in the mail but when we asked for a duplicate or a credit card we have heard crickets.

We seeking to replace $3,000 to return us to where we were before the default. We will pay the bill using the pledged donations and some money already raised from our book sale; but, this shortfall was not in our budget projection. Please help us by making a donation.
